Trinity's Florals
Trinity Young, owner/operator of Trinity’s Florals in North Sydney. She was raised in the world of flowers and spent many happy hours as a child helping out at the shop and greenhouse. Those time-consuming jobs like filling water picks and making ribbon roses were a pleasure for her while freeing up the adult’s time for other chores.
Goodwin’s Nursery in Sydney Mines was a family business started by Grampy Goodwin (as he was called) and carried on by his son-in-law Angus Ings, then by Trinity’s father Bobby Ings, making Trinity a fourth-generation florist.
After high school Trinity studied botany at community college in Halifax, not really planning on making that her career, but because of her general interest.
Next she took a job with Kent, where she was placed in, of all places, the garden centre, and from there she worked for 10 years with Petals Florists in Halifax.

When she decided to move back to Cape Breton it was to develop her own business doing what she loves, creating beautiful and distinctive flowers for all occasions, with weddings as her speciality. Trinity’s Florals is located at 7 Convent St., North Sydney. She does wedding consultations there and provides flowers for any other occasion as requested!
