Peartree Photography
Peartree Photography is owned and operated by Sherri Poirier. She had no idea that photography was something she would be interested in and more importantly something she would fall in love with. But it is that simple, she discovered it and she loved it! It consumes her and she wouldn’t have it any other way!
Sherri loves the clicking sound her camera makes . She loves the weight of the camera in her hands, and the power it holds to essentially preserve time.
She seeks inspiration from the smell of the crisp morning air, the hues of pink and gold casting through a sunset and the sound of leaves crunching beneath her rubber boots. She is silly and certainly not shy although she admires those who are.
She lives and thrives in Cape Breton with her forever boyfriend Adam (sounds better than husband), her sweet and spicy little girl Molly, and her precious handsome boy, Milo. Their smiles, their light, remain the most significant part of her every day.
This is her path… and she'd love you to run with her!

Kirstie Horwath
Kirstie has done arts and crafts for as long as she can remember, but she sort of lost the drive somewhere between high school and college. A few years ago, something just clicked, and she began making art a priority in her life. She took classes in painting and jewelry at Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design, and soon after began making and selling jewelry. Her most popular jewelry item being hand cut and hammered Cape Breton pendants. She wanted her best friend Jake (her dog) to have a little Cape Breton bling...but somehow stirling silver seemed a bit excessive. Kirstie's father, being a carpenter/all around handy man, always had various materials available to her, and provided her with some scrap Brass, which soon became Jake’s first dog tag.
All dog tags are hand cut and stamped, and made from recycled Brass.
