The owner and designer behind the cheeky cards, Anita, is married to her high school sweetheart, and together they have two awesome and busy boys. The story behind Anita's work is a touching one, and it's clear that this love and passion is poured into each and every item:
One of my favourite memories of childhood is of walking down a dusty lane near my grandparent's home in rural Nova Scotia, gathering wild blackberries and rhubarb with my grandmother. My grandmother, Millie, was quick-witted and kind and could often be found teasing her children and grandchildren. When I was 10 she lost a long and painful battle with cancer and I lost my best friend. The happy ending is that 30 years later, Rhubarb Paper Co. was born. In part due to my lifelong love of stationery, in part to keep the memory of her and her wonderful sense of humour alive.
