Hello there! We've compiled the questions we're most frequently asked, and hopefully you find what you're looking for. If not, please don't hesitate to ask.
Where do you get your clothing?
A lot of different places! We often work with small independent designers to bring in unique designs that can't be found in larger retail stores.
Additionally, each year we're growing our offering of handmade and fair trade clothing and accessories with companies such as Mata Traders. MT produces original designs handmade in India and Nepal by women’s cooperatives and artisan groups that practice fair trade principles.
I heard you carry locally made products. What are they?
One of our favourite aspects of running the boutique is our ability to showcase and sell items made by local and independent makers. Currently, we are proud to carry products from Whiskey, Ink and Lace, Jac Out Of The Box Jewelry, Home In The East, Lily Lake Knits, Scrub Inspired, Benac Jewelry, Reloved Design, Gayle Bird, and Short Presents.
I'm a maker. Can I carry my products in La Quaintrelle?
We're always interested in carrying artisan products on consignment that fit with the vision and aesthetic of LQ. Please contact us for more information.
Sometimes your items sell out quickly. Why?
We usually only stock very limited quantities of a certain style, typically 6 altogether. This is to ensure that the item you purchase is unique and the market remains unsaturated. It's always nice to wear something no one else has! This also allows us to bring in a higher quantity of varied styles.
What if there's something I like but I can't get to the shop right away?
If that ever happens, please feel free to email or message us and we can put the item aside for you in-store until you're able to get in to the shop and try it on. We can usually hold the item for a few days.
You can also purchase the item online and choose "local pickup". You will bypass shipping fees, and we will package your order up and have it waiting for you in-store.
How often do you get in new stock?
We aim to bring in new stock bi-weekly, sometimes weekly in peak season. When we have confirmation of styles ahead of time, they're often put on the Coming Soon page so you know what will soon arrive.
